ANTONY CARTER'S BIO
Antony is a product of the south side of Chicago. He grew up in church singing in an acapella worship environment where the emphasis was on tight harmonious singing. His father was the choir director and worship leader. Antony took piano lessons from the age of five and soon began to play the trumpet, drums, and saxophone. In high school he expanded into writing, recording and producing his own music as well as joining his first band and even although it was the early 80's, Antony directed and shot a music video of one of his original songs.
From high school until now Antony has continued performing, writing, producing and recording music in multiple genres. He has been on hundreds of festival, corporate, wedding and church stages in Chicago and the Midwest as lead singer for the Associates Band, choir director and worship leader for his church, and member of a traveling gospel Quintet - The United Quintet of Chicago. As director of Sheldon Heights Acapella Choir for over 20 years, Antony recorded 7 CD's and won a Christian Acapella Music Award in 2004. In addition he has written and produced 4 R&B CD's of his own. Antony has now released his solo gospel recording entitled, "My All" which can be heard on all streaming platforms.
Antony is most proud of the gospel songs he has been inspired with that have touched countless lives. He is the songwriter of "If Anybody Has A Reason To Sing", "Sweet Peace of Mind", and "Give Me A Song To Sing, Like Jesus". These songs are being sung in worship services each Sunday around the country for many years touching hearts and lives. To God Be The Glory!
